    Logical Channels BCCH(Broadcast Control Channel) DL channel used for the broadcast of system Control information.

    on. PCCH (Paging Control Channel) DL for the broadcast of paging information( UE is paged to know its exact location). CCCH (Common Control Channel) DL/UL is used to exchange control info between UE and network.This channel is used by the mobile stations having no RRC connection with the network. DCCH (Dedicated Control Channel) DL/UL used to exchange dedicated control information between UE and network.This channel is established through RRC connection setup procedure. DTCH (Dedicated Traffic Channel) DL/UL is used to send dedicated user traffic for one user service . CTCH (common Traffic Channel) DL is used when transmitting info either to all UE or a specific group of UE in the cell.

    Transport Channels BCH (Broadcast Channel) DL channel used to broadcast system and cell specific information. PCH (Paging Channel) DL Channel which carries paging info , used when network wants to initiate connection with UE. FACH (Forward Access Channel) DL channel carries control info to the UE known in the cell. RACH ( Random Access Channel) UL channel is always received from the entire cell. DCH (Dedicated Control Channels) It Carries dedicated and control information i.e DTCH and DCCH. CPCH (Common Packet Channel) UL channel which is meant for packet data transmission. DSCH (Downlink shared Channel) DL channel which carries dedicated user information for packet traffic and several user can share it. Physical Channel P-CCPCH (Primary Common Control Physical Channel) DL channel which carries BCH. PRACH ( Random access Channel) UL Channel which carries RACH. S-CCPCH (Secondary Common Control Physical Channel) DL channel which carries two transport channels i.e PCH and FACH. DPDCH (Dedicated Physical Data Channel) It carries dedicated user traffic. (UL/DL) DPCCH (Dedicated Physical Control Channel) It transfers control information during the dedicated connection.
