My Name is Khan At times when problem arises, difficulties sets in, and when the battles and challenges

in life confront us, we lose our track and travel the wrong path. But one person shows me that whoever we are, we are one, that we are stronger than our fears, that we are greater than our limits, and that love can conquer all. His name is Khan, and he is not a terrorist. The movie really moved me and it made me realize a lot of things. First of all was when the mother of Khan draws the two persons - the other doing good, and the other doing evil. It made me realize that like the drawing, we all are the same, whatever religion we maybe, race, or social status, a person that does good is always a good person, and a person who does evil is an evil person. It doesnt depend on how one appears and belongs, but how one acts. He suffers Aspergers syndrome, a kind of autism, but even in his condition he still manage to do things and accomplish his promises to his mother that he would make his life happy, and his promise to his wife that he would meet the president of the United States. It really touched me how his love conquers the challenges that their family is facing. Honestly, the parts when his child died and the part when his wife, Mandira, looked for justice about the death of his son really made me cry. Not to mention the part where Khan cries during the sharing at church in Mama Jennys place, that was really heart touching. The part when he says to the police officers that his name is khan, and he is not a terrorist really surprised me. The part where he meets the president was the concluding part of the story, and all throughout the movie I was really satisfied. The funny parts and the sad parts were well portrayed that whoever would watch it would really love the movie. Khan showed me that our condition is not a hindrance in achieving our goals in life. He showed me that all of us are worth loving, and that everyone is capable of attaining happiness. He is more than just a name, for he is a living name in all of the persons he touched by his existence. And I am proud to say that I am Mark James Melendres, and I can be a nurse!
