College.(PEC), Pondicherry- 605014, has entered into a MoU with Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC), Neyveli, for a collaborative research project on CO2 Sequestration and Production of Algal Biofuel from Flue gas of Thermal Power Plant. To carry out the above project, recruitment for the following posts are made, purely on temporary basis, initially for a period of ONE year and are extendable for a maximum period of TWO years only. Opportunities are available for meritorious candidate to carry out research leading to Ph. 3.0 SALARY DETAILS Consolidated Salary as detailed will be paid to the above Project Staff through out the entire tenure. Please note that no other allowances are admissible to the above category of Project Staff. Junior Research Fellow Project Technician Project Field Staff - Rs. 16,000/-(p.m) - Rs. 7,000/- (p.m) - Rs. 7,000/- (p.m)

4.0 QUALIFICATIONS M Tech/ME (Civil/Chemical/ Environmental Engg./ Bio-Technology/ Biochemical Engg) with I Class or equivalent and with /without experience (For ONE Post of JRF) MSc ( Maths / Statistics/ Biostatistics/ with I Class or equivalent, with aptitude for numerical modeling to real life engineering problems. Relevant work experience and M. Phil., will be added value additions (For another post o f JRF). Diploma in Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering with I class or equivalent. Flair for computer applications and a minimum of TWO few years of field experience will be a value-addition (For the post of Project Technician). A Pass in (10+2) / ITI in a Civil Engineering Trade (For Project Field staff) with THREE years (minimum) of work experience in academic/ technical institutes.

No interim correspondence will be entertained and only the selected candidates will be informed, officially. The post is purely temporary and PEC and the PI has the right to terminate the services of any Project Staff, even before their tenure period, considering the interest of the project, or on grounds of indiscipline etc, at any time, by giving a notice of a maximum of ONE month. No individual can stake a claim or any right to continue in the project, nor stake any claim whatsover to any kind of post in PEC, based on the services rendered in the Project.
