1. Go to www.minieduc.cl
2. Look for the English Program that corresponds to the class level your school
students belong to.
3. Check the “Objetivos Transversales” section
4. Pick one of the objectives and,
5. Think of an interesting activity in English that might interest your students.
6. Write the activity, and post it on the blog.
7. You have one full page (letter format). Be as clear, brief and precise as you can.

Objetivo Fundamental Transversal:

•” Los OFT del ámbito Persona y su Entorno referidos al trabajo en equipo (entre pares y
grupos pequeños, en este caso), que el programa define como básico para muchas de sus
actividades, así como el OFT relativo a la valoración de la identidad nacional en un
contexto globalizado.” (Planes y programas, Educación básica, 5º básico, programa de

Activity:
Separate the class in small groups of 4 people as maximum. Three topics will be given
randomly: “Months of the Year”, “Days of the Week” and “The hours of the Day”. Students
will give an oral presentation about each topic mentioning differences between our country
and USA in regard of special celebrations that are related with the topics to be presented
such as: New Year, Christmas, May 21st, Month of the Sea, September 18th, etc.
