The Amazing Time Machine

You might have seen men doing great things: going to Everest, surviving in the Pacific Ocean for 200 days etc. This is all a matter of time. You need time for anything you do. But it isnt possible for these great things to happen in your everyday life. Yo u get a chance for it. The story is based on time, dear reader. Now its time to tell you the beginning. Mr Richard was one such man who wanted to do something great. Greater than climbing Mt. Everest. Mr Richard was a man of forty six, an inventor. As he sat on the chair in his lab, he pondered about great things he should do. He was troubled. He didnt eat his dinner. He walked to and fro and pondered and racked his brains. After 3 weeks of thinking, Mr Richard finally got the answer he had been waiting for. He smiled as he thought of it. Time!! That is THE only suitable thing for me. He planned to go to the Dragon age. Yes, he would go!! He started building his plan. A time machine!! August 6, was the great day on which Mr Richard started working on his time machine. It took 4 months and 2 days for the preparations. Finally on December 28, he was well equipped. Shouldnt he inform his friends? He set out for his friends house, ready for a good long explanation. Are you crazy Richard? No, it cant be possible to travel back back..Uh!! Leave me alone Richard. Mr Richard stomped back angrily to his lab. He would prove that he was not crazy. And so he started his journey to the Dragon Age on December 30, at exactly 1:17am. He climbed into the time machine. He plugged it. All set!! At last, the time machine was ready. Here was the great moment. After 1 minute 30 seconds he was ready for departure. Tick tock tick tock1:16am. 60 seconds left. 10 seconds left. The countdown began: 9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..WHHIIIIRRRR!!! The time machine spun out of Earth.

Richard pressed the past button and the time machine gave a few jerks and spun in anticlockwise direction. A red blur surrounded Mr Richard and he was thrown off the time machine violently. He fainted. Mr Richard opened his eyes. He looked around himself. Suddenly something cracked. He sat up. Surely there were no trees in this empty place surrounded by rocks. It cracked again. Ouch! Surely there werent any plants over here. Mr Richard stood up. Then he got the shock of his life. A skeleton! It was shaped like an unknown animal. A rare skeleton. But Mr Richard fell down on the rocks and started panting. When he got up, he examined the skeleton. Seems like a rare species, a very rare species. I should preserve it carefully. He was about to search for a hiding place for the wonderful skeleton when he heard snores. Loud snores!! It had a funny rhythm. Snorkel - thump- thumpcoo- Snorkel-thump- thump- coo. Then all of a sudden he started making smacking and slurping noises. What were these people doing? The voice sounded like a song. It sounded like this: Smack slurp smacky slurp Smacky smacky slurp Slurp slurp smacky slurp Slurp slurp burp!! Mr Richard got startled. Anyone would have thought that an orchestra singer was taking a crocodiles singing lessons!! But this is not the time to laugh, Dear Reader. Mr. Richard hid under the rocks until the moon was red which signified the existence of the Dragon Age. But then he heard the sound of pearls being pulled inside. Another noise!! He really must find out. Slowly, Mr Richard crept out of the rocks. His time machine was nowhere to be seen. He searched and searched, but in vain. Suddenly he saw a strange blue

circle. What was it doing here? He didnt know that beyond this circle was the vast army of dragons that he would meet face to face very soon. Though curious, he cautiously entered the circle. Inside, there was light which was bright almost blinding. In the middle there was a table. It was TEN TIMES TALLER than the table in the story of Alice in Wonderland. He climbed the table with all his strength. He now stood besides a red and yellow speedometer in a queer shape. But Mr Richard recognized the speedometer that was part of his time machine. He was shocked. He climbed down. He started exploring the palace. All of a sudden he saw a sight that made his heart freeze! Big Mistake!! He shouldnt have come exploring. He found the answers to all the mysterious questions. Dragons!! The skeleton was of this animal, a dragon! Snorkelly snorp! A dragon!! And that mysterious song? That means they have chewed up my time machine. The dragons are waking up! Oh no! Mr Richard ran out of the palace. Mr Richard got the fright of his life. He had to build a new time machine in the Dragon Age! But how!! There was no other way. Mr Richard had to steal the dragons precious gold for his new time machine. He felt brave at the thought of stealing dragon booty! And so he set out for the fight of his life.

Mr Richard wanted to explore the dragons palace better. He couldnt understand why the dragons wanted to chew up the time machine. But he put this out of his head, and entered the blue circle, only to find himself seated on the top of a dragons head. GURK!! A sound exploded inside Mr Richards ear. GORKY GURK GURK!!! A dragon!! Run run run!!! Too late!! Mr Richard couldnt go on. This was no doubt a dragon. Suddenly he screamed the loudest scream. A dragon picked him up and threw him into a pit. He saw nothing but empty space. Mr Richard got up. He had fallen unconscious. Suddenly he spied something. Was that a treasure box? He ran to it and beside it he found a wand. He waved it. And lo! He heard voices speaking. You stinkbomber! You rascal! Stop that Winchester from touching the book in the chest. Winchester! Book! That could only mean one thing! Mr Richard had studied that whoever calls anyone a Winchester, it means that Lady Luck is smiling on him. As he was lost in thought, suddenly some spikes stood up in the floor. Mr Richard quickly got aside. That filthy dragon! But suddenly he saw something engraved on a tile. pmuJ no yreve etanretla elit. What did that mean. Jump on every alternate tile, except its written upside down. Mr Richard jumped on every alternate tile in the direction of the engraved tile and suddenly he saw a door. What lay beyond it! Mr Richard opened the door. He gasped! Pearls! Gold! He quickly locked the door! Now he was safe. Mr Richard just had to brainstorm an idea to make a time machine with pearls and gold!

He had some glue in his pocket! He started to work! Since he was an inventor, he could do these things easily. He took as much gold he needed and lots of time. After 2 hours,(according to his watch) he was ready. A brand new gold time machine was staring at him after sticking pearls and gold with glue just in the shape of a time machine. Mr Richard carried the gold time machine out! He placed it before the treasure chest. But he was in a dilemma as to how would he ride it! Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light and God appeared before the inventor. He then explained Mr Richard that he had been away from Earth for five years and his colleagues were disturbed.He then explained Mr Richard that he should recite a spell from the book to convert it into a modern time machine. He disappeared into thin air. Suddenly Mr Richard heard thumping sounds. He quickly took out the book and went to emit enihcam(time machine). The dragon approached him. Suddenly, the inventor felt a strange power and he recited the spell as quick as lightning. Then there was a light and there appeared Mr Richards time machine. The dragon was stunned as Mr Richard climbed into the time machine and flew out of the Age with a whir and a spin. Richard pressed the present button and the machine sped at the speed of 29,00,00,00,00,00,000 miles per second. Richard then pressed a single button and the machine landed in the present . At that time it was 2009. Mr Richard went directly to his lab. And what a surprise!! All of Richards colleagues were waiting for him with cakes and chips. It was a special party that day for Richard. His friend then explained that the colleagues were studying the age of Dragons when they found that he had gone into the Dragon Age . After 5 years, they found that he was coming back. So they organized a special party for him. Happy Returns!! Mr Richard was the chief guest for that night. And after three weeks his happiness doubled! His friend had sent a message to the whole world about his arrival after visiting the Dragon Age. And he had become a celebrity. People were flocking to his house to get an autograph of Mr Richard. Since 2009, Mr Richard became the first person to travel back into time. After his encounter with the dragons, climbing the Everest seemed a piece of cake to him.
