The media used in effective PR may be categorized astraditional media OR electronic media. It is a two way operation. Respect & confidence between an organization & the press are the basis for good press relations.

The most important duty of the Public Relationship man is to provide correct facts & information. The image of the organization must be projected and presented in order to get maximum advantage. The PR department and its staff are directly involved in press relations. In large organizations the PR department has a separate press office managed by a separate press officer.
