Intiating Mobile Phone Technology using QR Codes to Access Library Services at the University Cape Town

This article tells about the desire to facilitate access to information using Quick Response (QR) codes. QR code provides a simple but effective way for the client library to access library resources. QR codes are more widely and faster than library. QR code usage can be categorized as small computers that provide the information in your hand. Other than that, librarians are encouraged to become involved with mobile phone technology as a way to provide access to library services. QR code aims to facilitate access to library resources and research related countries. QR code can connect customers to the e-library. QR bar code that can access data and can be read by most smart phones and mobile mobile phones with cameras. It appears as a small white square with black geometric shapes and holds much more information than the other bar codes. QR Code has been used in marketing campaigns, advertisements, flyers and public notices in Japan and Korea. Nowdays, QR codes were attached on food items such as fruits and vegetables that when scanned, the information obtained and the products to which it is grown. QR codes seen as a mechanism to bridge the gap between paper and web. QR codes can be attached to a poster for a multimedia school projects where students can scan the code and video and animation. Similarly, teachers can embed QR codes in teaching slides for students who need support. Students can snap the QR Code and get the materials they need for class and avoid having to wait the extra time.
