DINNER MEETING

Rock Garden
1951 Bond Street, Green Bay

Sideline Coaching for Human Resource Professionals

Presented by: Joan Lloyd - Executive Coach, Consultant, Author and Syndicated Columnist
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Human Resources professionals both functional experts and generalistsare finding new opportunities to act as internal consultants and coaches, who can help leaders with organizational changes, performance coaching, leadership development and other value-added services. Since most of our coaching is with individuals who dont report to us, we need sophisticated techniques to establish rapport, trust and credibility. In addition, we need to find ways to create ownership and accountability with those we coach, so they can make meaningful changes. You will have an opportunity to discuss the real coaching relationships you have (or want to have) in your own organization, as well as to diagnose and strategize with other professionals. In this session you will learn: How to set up clear expectations so you avoid misunderstandings about roles and responsibilities later. How to work with the coach/leader, and avoid stepping on their toes or taking over their job. Use a coaching technique that gets behavior change the client will see and feeland move beyond talk and good intentions. Learn some back pocket phrases that will help you push back on senior leaders to get outcomes they really want --and minimize resistance.
