What gauge reading will result from an absolute pressure of 20 m. b) A pilot tube is used to measure the velocity of an air stream at 20oC and 10 atmospheric pressure. If the velocity is 25 m/sec, what is the dynamic pressure in Newtons per square meter. What is the uncertainty of the velocity measurement if the dynamic pressure is measured with a manometer having an uncertainty of 4 Pa ? 5. a) For the strain gauges derive the relationship d / Gauge Factor (GF) = 1 + 2 + dL/L where = Poissons ratio. r = resistivity L = Length of the wire. b) A typical strain gauge has a unloaded resistance of approximately 120 and a gauge factor approximately 18. Caclulate the strain if the gauge indicates a change in resistance of 36104 .
