Assessment and feedback

Setting assessment and providing effective feedback is a challenging task for all staff and regardless of discipline is judged by students. Within this section you will find a collection of resources that will give you guidance for considering these challenges and what you would like your students to achieve. Resources range from a guide to different assessment formats and feedback practices top tips and a guide through the educational literature for answering immediate needs or for planning longer term development. This is just a starting point and will help in preparing for your sessions but you will also find useful pedagogic readings and resources if you wish to explore the topics further. The resources you find in this section can be used in isolation or as part of discussions with your peers and students.
