What is sculpture? The word sculpture was derived from a latin word sculpre meaning to {carve}.

Sculpture can be defined as or described as a branch of visual art, it is said to be which operate in two process, it is the act of creating {carving} out images out of stones, wood, and other materials. The three dimensional are as follow; a. Carving: this aspect of sculpturing that deals with the removal of some materials with the aids of some sets of tool to bring out a required shape or pattern or form. Wood are said to be specially used in in this aspect of sculpturing but we carve other materials too like glass, ceramics, and rocks etc. b. plastic arts: it is this process that involves the act of reshape plastic materials {removal of this materials} to bring out a accurate or desire object or structure. c. molding: this process involves the addition of material like clay, stone, mixture of cement, beads, granite e.t.c to a required objects, structure or shape. 2. sculpture is said to be subjected to relevance pertaining to reduction i.e teaching and learning in the the following ways:a: with sculpture, student wil be able to develop artistic skills b: they will able to develop interest in art work and research c: sculpture helps to remember the past heroes and heroines d: it is useful in remembrance of ancient image e: it serves as tourism i.e museum. f: it serves our cultural heritage g: it helps student to participate in teaching and learning process some materials for sculpturing are:1.
