CSC 323 Lab 1 1. 2. Read Chapter 1: Review of Fundamental Concepts in your Lab Manual.

Inventory all the chips and other items that are in your Lab Kit. Record your findings on an Inventory Sheet that is found in your class folder on Blackhawk. Once completed, return this inventory sheet to your instructor. Perform Lab Exercises 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on Page 6 of your Lab Manual. Each lab exercise must be written up and submitted by the due date. See below for general instructions on writing up the lab exercises.

General Instructions for writing up lab experiments: 1. 2. Provide a brief overview of what the experiment is about. Provide a circuit diagram. You may want to use the program Digital Works (found in the labs and available for downloading over the Internet) to create your drawing or you may want to draw the circuit by hand. Either way, label each pin that is used on all the chips that are in the experiment. Document what you observe when you run the experiment. Clearly label each lab with your name and lab number at the top of the first page. Lab write-ups are due the next Thursday after being assigned.
