So...two key issues


Decide what you want... 1. Decide what you want... Quick wins? Mid term development? or Long term bonded relationships with the consumer? ...and deliver it 2. Deliver a consistent message. BUT make sure its centered on the product. Commerciality rules! 1. A unifying device that links all the communication together in a simple clear message AND relates to the target audience. 2. Low cost high impact shelf presentation that delivers stand out AND gives added value to the retailers store and offer. 3. Keep the operational solution SIMPLE to deliver, install, low cost and flexible.

Summary
DO get the retailer as a partner. DO allow for flexibility in the scheme to allow for differing return on your investment dependant on the size of the retailer. DO support the brand instore. DO think about what you say in store it doesnt always have to be a price promotion! REMEMBER the space in store is valuable, use it to the maxiumum effect. DONT overlook or miss the opportunity to brand (and own) your space in store. DONT get over clever about the message the consumer wont understand it or they will ignore it.
