Traditional Seven Tools of quality

1. Process Flow Chart

A owchart is a schematic diagram of the

sequence of steps involved in an operation or process. It provides a visual tool that is easy to use and understand. By seeing the steps involved in an operation or process, everyone develops a clear picture of how the operation works and where problems could arise.

When you want to describe activities, identify

problems, identify the causes of problems, detect "bottlenecks," and define indicators.

Pareto Analysis
In 1879, the famous Italian economist Alfred

Pareto, noticed that 80% of Italys wealth was controlled by 20% of the population. This concept is known as Paretos law or Paretos rule or Principle of imbalance or simply 80/20 rule. Subsequently, people in various disciplines and professions noticed that this same 80/20 applied, in a broad way, to a wide range of phenomena. Dr. Joseph Juran also recognized this concept as universal that could be applied to many fields. He coined the term vital few and useful many. Pareto chart is a powerful quality tool and is used to identify the most important problem and the measurement of progress

A technique used to identify quality problems based on their degree of importance.
