History
It was founded by Mr. Filemon D. Tanchoco and

his wife Mrs. Purificacion G. Tanchoco in the year 1951. Mrs. Tanchoco spearheaded the construction of a two story semi-concrete 120 bed capacity hospital purely for teaching purposes. As the College of Medicine grew stronger, other buildings were put up in the campus. A four story building was completed in 1959 and a three-story concrete hospital edifice accommodating 220 patients replaced the rest.

It is a tertiary health care center offering complete

and efficient medical and surgical services. Some facilities and services: Emergency Room with 24-hour coverage by ER Consultants, Ambulatory Services, Operating Room & Delivery Rooms, Neonatal and Pediatric ICU, Medical & Surgical, ICCU. Private Rooms and Suites.

Drug distribution: Unit dose drug distribution

system, floor stock system, individualized (outpatients) The stocks are arranged both alphabetically and by category. The staff consists of a chief pharmacist, 5 clinical pharmacists, 4 dispensing pharmacists and 2 pharmacist assistants. (shifting) Some equipments: Bioref, Laminar flow hood, computers, E-kit.

Drug distribution
A copy of the physicians prescription written in a yellow paper is handed down to the pharmacy by a nurse.
The ordered medication is checked in the computers data base for confirmation.

The medication is prepared by the pharmacist.

The copy is collected and recorded in the record book of patients at the end of the day.

The prepared medication is handed to the nurse on the designated period.

Drug distribution
The patient/buyer brings a correct prescription by a physician. The prescription is checked by the pharmacist . The medication is prepared by the pharmacist if the prescription is correct.

The receipt is shown by the buyer to the pharmacy and claims the medication.

The patient then goes to the cashier and pays the bill of the medication.
