STUDENT REFLECTION GUIDELINES: Use complete sentences and be very thorough and honest in your personal reflection.

This is a skill vital in helping you improve as a reader, writer, and presenter. Each question is worth 5 points.
Were there any parts of the article that were especially challenging for you to understand? If yes, what skills did you use to work through that part of the reading? If no, what are you going to do next time to challenge yourself more as a reader? **Be specific and answer in no fewer than 3 sentences** There was a part of the document that contained vocabulary and some history that I was unfamiliar with. In order to work through this, I researched the meanings of the unfamiliar terms which were illicit and honour. I learned that illicit means something that is forbidden by law and I learned that honour spelled with a u is just the British way of spelling honor. This helped me understand the context better. The history of clan warfare in Somalia that was mention made me curious, so I google search the term. That was helpful also because I learned about how clans for years have been divided into warring family alliance groups. What do you feel you did particularly well on during the presentation (Describe a minimum of 2)? I thought the write up was well done and my score of 15 confirmed this. I also felt that my ability to present the information without looking over my notes the entire time was one of my strengths.

In what ways could you improve your presentation (Describe a minimum of 2 ways)? I need to work on eye contact while I present still because even though I was not reading my notes the entire time, I felt as if I cant remember making eye contact with anyone. I also got marked down during the presentation because I did not include my in-text citation in my presentation. I can easily improve this to get a better score.
