There were four magicians namely J. Daniel Atlas,

Merritt McKinney, Henley Reeves, and Jack Wilder.

They were grouped by the mysterious man and lead them to a place where there are blueprints and plans for a 3 big magic shows. One year later, they perform at Las Vegas produced by Arthur Tressler and the final act for the first show was robbing a bank in Paris. Upon discovering that the money is missing they Agent Rhodes from FBI and Alma Dray an Interpol agent interrogates the four magicians and also at the same day, they were released because there were no explanation and evidence found. Rhodes meets Thaddeus Bradley, a former magician who makes money by revealing the secret behind other magicians magic tricks. Rhodes, Dray, and Bradley attend the next show and the finale for this show is to steal money from their producer and distributing it to the audience. Rhodes and Dray tried to arrest the four magicians but they fail to do it. On the third act, they continue to do magic tricks about stealing the other bank account and the plan is to shower fake money to the crowd and leave the safe at Tresslers place so that the police will arrest him for stealing the money. Tressler was accused and become a prisoner but the police found out that the half of the money on the safe was also

missing. Bradley visit Tressler on the jail and told Tressler that this is his revenge to him because he didnt follow their deal about the money in the movies that they produced he also reveal to Tressler that he is the man behind the four horsemen. Not knowing that before the four horsemen end the show, the half of the money was placed on his car causing him to arrest also by the police. J. Daniel Atlas was the mastermind of all of this because he want to take revenge for his father Lionel Shrike, who died doing a magic trick with Bradley before. Bradley intended that accident because he was too envious of Shrike. In the end, Atlas and Reeves got married while Mckinney and Wilder continue doing magic.
