PRODUCT SELECTION
Product selection involves three basic steps:
1. Research:
Gathering all technical information to be evaluated Identify the full range of the projects building material options.
2. Evaluation:
involves confirmation of the technical information, as well as filling in information gaps. simple when comparing similar types of building materials using the environmental criteria. However, complex when comparing different products with the same function.
3. Selection:
Involves the use of an evaluation matrix for scoring the project-specific environmental criteria.
4. Implementation:
To know which are the materials that fit in the green.
Analyzing the market. Understanding the possible competitive priorities of the organization. Selecting the appropriate competitive priorities among the available (possible) competitive priorities. Developing the operations strategies to achieve the chosen competitive priorities.
Increasing scientific knowledge and product innovation. Advances the state of knowledge about product technology. Product models are tested in different circumstances. Creates tremendous infrastructure by enabling industrial establishments to carry out specific long terms R & D projects. Tax concessions are given. Develops model stimulating problems.
