Internships and Cooperative Education for Undergraduate Students

Internships and Co-ops provide a valuable work experience to our students. These offer real world samples of what jobs are like. Students can learn how the organization operates, its culture, and make contacts.

College of Business

When students coordinate their internships and co-ops with the Career Center and the COB, they can earn up to six (6) academic credits. The student transcript will reflect the credits.

College of Business

Internships and Co-ops provide great experience that the student can list on the resume.

Employers give emphasis to a student internship, viewing it as relevant work experience.

College of Business

Excellent placement with companies like Boeing, Rolls Royce, Daytona Beach International Airport, Brown & Brown.

Many internships and co-ops are paid by the employer.

College of Business

Good possibility that the high performing student will be asked to return as a regular employee.

The average annual starting salary for students who participated in a co-op/ internship was $13,289 more than those students who did not participate in the program ERAU 2010-2011 First Destination Survey Report.

COB requirements of the student: 1. Register with the Career Center 2. Coordinate with the COB 3. Submit two (2) blogs or other approved media 4. Complete the end of internship report 5 to 7 pages following established format

COB officials responsibilities 1. Approve the academic equivalency 2. Receive the student blogs 3. Evaluate the report and overall experience 4. Review employer provided evaluation of student 5. Submit a Pass/Fail grade to Records & Registration
