Safety Systems Data Administrator

Goals
My Role: Reporting to the Safety Reporting Advisor, you will be responsible to the supporting Safety Systems in the processing of Safety Occurrence data in an effective, timely and accurate manner. The Safety Systems Division acts on behalf of the Board, the CEO and the COO in the overview of all areas within Virgin Australia which have an impact on safety, risk and compliance. Through the Safety Management System of the airline the Division provides visibility of safety performance and risk. Additionally, the Division provides safety services and specialist advice to the operating divisions to allow them to effectively manage risk and deliver improved safety outcomes.

Expertise
Must have Knowledge/Qualifications Can read, write and comprehend English. Minimum High School Certificate or above. Min typing speed of 60wpm High attention to detail and accuracy High level of Computer Literacy Ability to work under pressure Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proactive, with the ability to work unsupervised with effective time management skills Ability to be flexible and understanding towards Safety Systems and Divisional requirements Experience Previous experience within an office administration role. Intermediate level using the Microsoft Office Suite. Database transaction experience. Great to have Interest in Aviation / Airline Safety

Key Accountabilities
Accountability Perform data entry of occurrence reports Major activities Processing occurrences as they are received by Safety Systems in a both timely and accurate manner. Undertake regular data quality checks. Check data quality Delivery within required time frames to Operational Divisions. Maintain personal familiarity with industry best practice. Where designated, carry out related supporting roles for other team members within Safety Systems.

Collate and send weekly / monthly reports to Operational Divisions Other duties
