23RD TO REMEMBER AND MOVE FORWARD

ELLIOT LAKE, JUNE 12 2013 The Elliot Lake Centre for Developments Social and Wellness Committee announces Remembering Together on June 23, 2013, 1:30PM, at the former Algo Centre Mall entrance on the corner of Ontario and Saskatchewan Avenue. Presented by the Social and Wellness Committee, a committee under the Elliot Lake Centre for Development, Remembering Together is an opportunity for the community of Elliot Lake to gather and remember the events of June 23, 2012 that have become a milestone in the longstanding history of Elliot Lake. In this important transition period, residents will be able to tenderly remember the past while imagining a hopeful future. The event will include an opportunity for residents to write personal messages on environmentally-friendly cards to be attached on balloons and released as a symbolic gesture of remembrance. Reverend Robert M. Gardner, Minister at The United Church of Canada, will act as the Master of Ceremonies. Musical guest Cooper Robinson will close the event with an original song about the importance of friendship and staying together in times of hardship and adversity. All members of the community are invited to share this day.
