I'm current working as a JRF in FERAL, Pondicherry. My work concentrates on the studying mammals, especially Tiger and Elephant where Corridor identification for multi-pal species through camera trap and elephant habitat permeability and conflicts. I finished my B. Sc. (Forestry) from University of Agriculture Sciences, Bangalore and M. Sc. (Wildlife and Management) from Kuvempu University, Shimoga. I want to work on animal conflicts especially on Elephant in south Kodagu. I'm from southern part of Kodagu place named Hudikeri where Nagarahole is 30km and Bhramageri wildlife Sanctuary is 25km from my home. Eleary conflicts study were carried out in this area which are done by seconder data collection which gave the result to know the area of conflicts and the damage made by the animals. My study is to know what is the reason for the conflicts, what kind of habitat do Elephant prefer to enter the estate do they enter from same path or different and continues monitoring by locals asking them inform if elephant come to the estate or near the forest edge. My current work on elephant conflicts along the bounder of forest and estate where I have walked 62 km of forest estate bounder to know which are habitat do elephant prefer.
