EDITORIAL NOTES: Elijah was completed on 11 August 1846 and premiered at the Birmingham Festival in England on 26 August, 1846. Since the keyboard part is a reduction of the orchestral score, there are a large number of minor discrepancies in the keyboard part. It appears that the H. W. Gray edition precedes the Schirmer. I have tried to resolve these discrepencies in the keyboard part. In measure 26, the tenor text underlay differs. I have chosen the Schirmer version in this case.
