Originating Idea

At work time, I notice the children really enjoy playing w/ the farm animals.

Materials:

Farm animals, big wooden blocks

Curriculum Content : Language/literacy

& communication, Social, Space, Classification, Dramatic Art

Beginning
Opening Statement Today we

are going to have our small group on the carpet in block area. We are going to get out the farm animals and our big wooden blocks. This will give us lots of room to play.

Middle
Earlier What will children do? Middle Later

-May just play w/ materials -May say a few simple words (I like pigs) -Pretends to be a pig. -May build something & take Apart.
