Rep. Mike Dovilla Announces Witnesses for Veterans Services Hearing House Oversight Committee Will Meet Thursday at Baldwin Wallace University
COLUMBUS State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Berea), chairman of the House Policy and Legislative Oversight Committee, today announced the confirmed witnesses who will appear at a field hearing, Honoring Our Heroes Reforming Veterans Services for the 21st Century, on Thursday, September26, 2013, at 2:30 p.m., at Baldwin Wallace University. Ohio has the fifth largest veteran population in the Nation, with more than 899,000 residents who have served in conflicts from World War II to the Global War on Terrorism, said Dovilla. With such a diverse veteran population, our state must meet myriad needs to ensure these Ohioans who have answered the call have access to services ranging from medical care to job placement. I look forward to convening this hearing in our district to highlight these important issues and to receive input from a variety of stakeholders who advocate for those who have honorably served our state and nation.
