1. Read the text “Argentine Declaration of Independence” carefully

again.

2. Look at the pictures, cut them out and glue them on a separate sheet of paper.
Then, write two or three sentences to describe them.

For example,

Picture 1
The Independence of Argentina was declared on July 9, 1816 by the Congress of Tucumán.
The congress was inaugurated in the city of Tucumán with 33 deputies.

- If you don’t have enough information, do your own research (investigate).

- For number 4, look up the names of the deputies who signed the Declaration of
Independence.
- The man on picture number 7 was an important national hero, who was he? What did he
do for our country? Is he mentioned in the text?
