Brand Naming assignment

1. GIM is launching a new guest speaker series. The intended speakers are Heads of HR from Indias best companies. This will be a series that will run parallel to Ribandar Talks and will be similar to RT in format (a speaker will give one guest lecture, then have an informal interaction with the faculty with the placement team in attendance). Execute a brand naming exercise for this talk series. 2. GIM Healthcare Management faculty write columns on healthcare in newspapers (approx.. 5-6 articles per month). Each article is roughly 700 words in length & touch upon various topics related to healthcare including the governments healthcare policy, patient behaviour towards self medication, cosmetic surgery, generic drugs, technology in diagnosis, etc. They intend publishing a compilation of these articles once every six months (roughly a 300 page book). The objective is knowledge dissemination, visibility for the healthcare program & brand building of GIM. Execute a brand naming exercise for this book series. 3. The Centre for Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurship at GIM has received government funding to set up a business incubation centre (a place where new business ideas can be developed/ incubated till they are ready to approach VCs for funding). The centre plans to run a business plan contest for B-school graduates from across the country with total cash prizes worth Rs 3 Lacs. The culmination of this contest will be an event (they plan to do this every year) where the top teams present their plans to the jury and venture capitalists. Execute a brand naming exercise for this contest cum event series.

Steps: 1. Generate a large number of brand names. List all of them. Explain the process(es) used to generate these brand names. 2. Do a screening of these brand names and choose the top 5 brand names (rank them one to 5) & explain the rationale behind each brand name. 3. Test your brand names with at least one section of PGP.
