Introduction

Sinceitsfoundationin1946,CIDESCOhasprovedtobetheworldsmajorinternationalorganizationinthefieldofaestheticsandbeautytherapyandtheCIDESCODiplomais widelyrecognizedastheworldsbestknownandmostrespectedbeautytherapyqualification. EducationoffutureCIDESCODiplomaholdersisataskofhighestpriorityinourorganization.Inordertomaintainthehighstandardswhichhavebeenset,andtocontinueto provideanexcellenttrainingwhichcreatesconsistentlycompetentandwellrounded,skilledandhighlysoughtaftertherapists,wehavetohaveatrainingprogramthatcan guaranteetheseoutcomesbyourdiplomaholders. Itwaswrittenbyateamofaestheticians,medicalpractitioners,psychologists,cosmeticscientists,andteacherswithmanyyearsexperienceoftheneedsofthebeautyindustry ataninternationallevel,andcoversallaspectsofthetheoryandpracticerequiredforgraduatestocarryouttreatmentsinasafe,professionalandcompetentmanner.This syllabuscontainstheminimumrequirementsforunderstandingandknowledgeinordertopassCIDESCOexaminationsandeducatorsarefreetoexpandthesyllabusto encompassotherareasofinterest. SincetheCIDESCODiplomaisinternational,thesyllabusincludessometreatmentsthatmaynotbecommoninallcountries.Nevertheless,theentiresyllabusmustbetaught andwillbeexamined,regardlessoftheindividualpracticesinindividualcountries.Ifapracticalcomponentisnotpermittedtobecarriedoutinaspecificcountry,theCIDESCO boardmustbemadeawareofthispriortotheexamination,andtheunderlyingtheoryofthatpracticemuststillbeknown,andmaystillbeincludedinthemultiplechoice examination.

1. 2. 3. EveryyeartheCIDESCOsectionofIndia(ABTC)holdsthe3year'sexperienceexamofCIDESCOforthememberwhoareexperiencedandcannotjoin anyschool.Theyshouldbeworkinginbeautyfieldforatleastthreeyears. Studentsmustcompletetheory&practicalstudiesbythethemselves. Allstudentsmustdoaminimumof40hoursofrefresheratanyrecognisedCIDESCOschool.

CIDESCOExaminationstakeplaceinJanuaryandSeptembereveryyear. Thefollowingwillbetheobligationsforthe3year'sexp.CIDESCOstudents.

TheassociationwilltheninspecttheschoolpremiseskeepinginmindtheformatsentbyCIDESCO.AfeeofRs5,000/(Rupeesfivethousandonly)will bechargedforthesame.ForoutsideMumbai,theschoolwillbearallexpensesofairfare,transportation,hotelifneeded. AfeeofRs.25,000/(Rupeestwentyfivethousandonly)willbechargedintheformofdonationstotheschoolforaffiliation. AnannualchargeofRs.10,000/(Rupeesthethousandonly)willhavetobepaidbyallschoolstotheAssociation, AllschoolsonprobationmustfollowallCIDESCOschool'sRules.
