I am requesting funding to develop a prototype Oyster Hatchery Economic Pilot

Program in the Fiscal Year 2010 Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations bill. The
entity to receive funding for this project is the Morgan State University Estuarine
Research Center at Jefferson Patterson Park, located at 10545 Mackall Road, St. Leonard,
MD 20685. The funding would be used to develop a pilot program to help find market-
based solutions to replenish the population of oysters in the Chesapeake Bay. I certify
that I do not have any financial interests in this project.
