Overview
The Sunway Special Pre-University Scholarship 2014 is a special programme dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in academia and extra-curricular activities (ECA). We are looking for students who are all-rounders so selection will be based on both academic merits and ECA performances. The Scholarship aims to develop its recipients into well-rounded high achievers with our exclusive _ component.

Application Procedure STEP 1

Get the Application Form from your school counsellor or Download it from sunway.edu.my/college/pre-uscholarship2014

Entitlement
Applicable to the January 2014 intake of the programmes noted below. Successful applicants will receive tuition fee waiver amounting to one of the following quanta: RM5,000/RM8,000/ RM10,000/RM15,000 Australian Matriculation Cambridge GCE A Level Canadian International Matriculation Programme Monash University Foundation Year Sunway Foundation in Arts Successful applicants will get the opportunity to upgrade their scholarship to a Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah Entrance Scholarship (terms & conditions apply) upon the release of the actual SPM results in March 2014.

STEP 2
Attach completed Application Form with: 1. Certified true copies of documents - Form 5 mid-year examination results - Certificates of achievements for extra-curricular activities (ECA) 2. One (1) passport-sized photograph 3. One (1) copy of Identity Card

Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah Continuing Scholarship Students who plan to progress to a Sunway University undergraduate programme upon successful completion of their pre-university studies will be entitled to either a Continuing Scholarship of up to 75% OR a Continuing Bursary. STEP 3
Submit to: Sunway Special Pre-University Scholarship 2014 c/o Marketing Department No. 2, Jalan Universiti, Bandar Sunway, 46150 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. by 2 AUGUST 2013 (FRIDAY) Late applications will not be considered.

Eligibility
This scholarship is open to all candidates sitting for the 2013 SPM examinations. The following requirements must be met: 1. 2. Results of 5As (combination of A- and above) in the schools Form 5 mid-year examinations. Currently holds or have held positions of responsibility in school or in extra-curricular activities such as sports, societies, clubs or uniformed bodies. Competition winners at various levels are encouraged to apply.

STEP 4
Shortlisted applicants will be notified via Email/SMS by 6 September 2013. Interview session details will be sent out as well.

Note : In order to maintain the scholarship award, scholars must obtain a minimum of 5As in their actual SPM results.

How many types of Pre-University programmes can I choose?

You need to submit your Form 5 mid-year examination results.

You can only choose ONE from the list of Pre-University programmes we offer.

Which intake can I apply for? And can I defer my studies if I am selected for National Service?

The Scholarship is only applicable for January 2014 intake. You can defer your studies to another intake if you are selected for National Service. You will need to submit the supporting documents that indicate your selection for National Service, together with a written request for deferment.

Terms and conditions

1. The Sunway Special Pre-University Scholarship 2014 is applicable for Pre-University programmes at Sunway College, Bandar Sunway and not applicable for period of study beyond the maximum duration of one year (for Australian Matriculation, Canadian International Matriculation Programme, Monash University Foundation Year and Foundation in Arts) and one and a half years (Cambridge GCE A-Level).

2. The award of a scholarship takes the form of reduction in the tuition fee payable; it is not a cash award. In the event where the scholarship is less than the tuition fee, student is responsible for the outstanding fee amount. In the event where the scholarship amount awarded is more than the tuition fee, student will be awarded the tuition fee amount only. 3. The scholarship offered is for the January 2014 intake only. Special arrangements may be given to students selected for National Service in the year 2014. 4. The Terms and Conditions of the Sunway Special Pre-University Scholarship 2014 may be changed and modified from time to time as deemed appropriate by Sunway College. The details of Terms and Conditions of the scholarship will be made known to the successful applicants.
