Logo Research

As we have now chosen our song and the name of our artist our next task is to create a suitable logo. In order to have an idea of what we wanted our artists logo to look like we researched into other artists logos to see if there was any recurring pattern or style. We found that many artists purely have their name printed, but differ on font size, style and colour. We looked at female artists within the Pop genre in order to get a clear understanding on how they like to portray themselves through their logo. When looking at the logos we discovered that the logos are usually monotone with maybe a slight shading or fade outs. This gave us a good idea for our logo as we then knew it should be quite basic and not too extravagant as the artist should be the main focus. By looking at other pop artists it gave us a better idea as they are of the same genre and would most likely have similar characteristics.
