State Transmission Utility is being involved with activities from planning, attending meetings with CEA, MERC ,WRPC, MNRE, CTU meetings etc. STU is also involved with system studies for carrying out its planning activity. Mipower is used as power system simulation software for performing system studies. The studies are generally communicated via email for discussing details of the study. File generated in the study are usually in MB size which consumes time depending on the internet speed. STU engineers are also involved in preparing presentations for various meeting as mentioned. For this adequate access to internet is required. (Presently this facility is not available).Technical documents and reports related to recent technology in power transmission are also prepared which entails sufficient data from YouTube and other informative websites. The internet service currently provided is poor in terms of speed and website accessibility. Moreover, there is frequent disconnection of internet. All this is hampering smooth functioning of STU section. It is hereby requested to improve the current internet service provided to STU section as early as possible.
