Prepared by: Jee-zald A. Villaflores, C.E.

Upgrading
Is a process of replacing a product with a newer version of the same product. In computing and consumer electronics, an upgrade is generally a replacement of hardware, software or firmware with a newer or better version, in order to bring the system up to date or to improve its characteristics.

Upgrading your existing packaging equipment can be a very cost effective alternative to replacing entire units or systems. Equipment upgrades will improve the performance and prolong the useful life of your packaging equipment.

Advantages
Boost performance, utilization and availability on over burdened equipment, tools, etc Plan for future growth Reduce total cost Improve eco-efficiency to lower power cost Meet regulatory mandates

Disadvantages
Replacement may not work as well as the original Extra cost are incurred
