I can list a few things:

- Epic He-Man vs Skeletor volcano fight (as well as other pretty epic fights). - All the Skeletor variants were explained and were awesome (MYP tried this later on, but the armour in the Sortech episode was atrocious. ) - Primus (the Eternia of NA, if you will) was constantly under attack. REAL attack, and was actually taken over. He-Man lost. There were a handful of episodes where He-Man and crew were rebels on the run being hunted down. - Skeletor was very two-faced and calculating in the series, pretending to be an ally of Flogg, the Galactic Guardians and other characters in the series. In reality, everything he was doing was for his own benefit, putting pieces in place to set himself up as the future ruler of the Tri-Solar Galaxy. He was just waiting for the right moment to strike. Far more impressive than stealing a sword, cloning a person or breaking into a castle, in my opinion. - Character progression. Characters changed in this series. Particularly: Mara, Crita and Skeletor. He-Man was fairly the same start to finish. We haven't seen a whole lot of character progression in ANY incarnation of MOTU before or since. - The series has a deeper meaning I won't go into here. Jack Olesker talked about what Primus REALLY is in the NA forum. - Finally, something NEW. All the stories about MOTU are essentially the same. This is a different part of He-Man's story. He travels to a distant planet (in the future, no less) to help save them from being conquered. This isn't something that would last forever. He was to return to Eternia in the next season and deal with the consequences of leaving Eternia behind. I enjoyed NA and REALLY would have liked to see season 2. All we have now are Jack's tales of what were to be and Emiliano's epic "Homecoming" story. Both are different takes, but equally fantastic.
