NSL Sugars was set up in 2003 as a result of, firstly, our Groups deep knowledge of the agribusiness sector built over nearly forty years, and secondly, our belief that we can play the role of a game-changer in the Indian sugar industry, through our entrepreneurial skills, state-of-theart technology, the size of our vision and the scale of resources with which we can back that vision. Our strategy is to have global operations, complementing our Indian business, and vice versa, and sourcing, refining and marketing sugar, whenever the cycles bring us the best opportunities.

OUR OPERATIONS
Koppa Plant, Karnataka This is an integrated project in Karnataka, which we have been operating successfully since 2003. CAPACITY : Sugar: 6,000TCD Co-generation: 30 MW Ethanol: 60 KLPD KEY HIGHLIGHTS: Extended crushing season of over 270 days per year Average recovery: 9.72% The Co-gen plant is registered with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change for CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) Ramakrishnapur Plant, A.P . This is a greenfield integrated project in Andhra Pradesh, commissioned in February 2011, which we have set up.The command area for this plant covers 2,57,894 hectares of irrigated land. Of this, we require 8,000 hectares to ensure optimal availability of cane.The Co-gen and Distillery Plants are eligible for funding under the Sugar Development Fund. CAPACITY : Sugar: 3,500 TCD Co-generation: 30 MW Distillery: 60 KLPD Desanur Plant, Karnataka This is a plant in Karnataka, which we acquired in July 2010 and in the process of modernising and expanding. CAPACITY (Under Expansion): Sugar: 3,500 TCD Co-generation: 28 MW Ethanol: 45 KLPD Alland Plant, Karnataka This is a plant in Karnataka, which we have taken on a LROT basis (Lease, Rehabilitate, Operate andTransfer) over a 30-year period. W e are in the process of turning it around with our strong management capabilities, and an investment of `4,000 million, and converting it into an integrated plant. W e have studied the potential of the plants cane zone and believe it has an enormous development potential of 1000,000 tonnes. CAPACITY (Under Expansion): Sugar: 7000TCD Co-generation: 34 MW Ethanol: 60 KLPD Jay Mahesh Sugar Plant, Maharastra CAPACITY- SUGAR- 7500 TCD COGENERATION -30MW DISTILLERY 100KLPD KEY HIGHLIGHTS Fully automatic, DCS operated, modern sugar plant, power plant & distillery. With lowest steam consumption less than 32% Extended season upto 180 days Average recovery more than 11.5%
