EXT. FOREST - DAY A MAN is running full speed through the forest. He is shirtless and covered with blood. He comes upon a large tree and ducks behind it, checking how much ammo is left in his handgun. His hands are shaking and he looks very upset. After a moment he slides the clip back into the gun, quickly holds the gun to his head, shuts his eyes and grits his teeth, yells and pulls the trigger.

INT. MAKESHIFT JAIL CELL - DAY The same man we saw before awakens suddenly, covered with sweat. He is laying on a dingy bedroll, and the only other thing in the cell is a metal bucket and a small window near the ceiling. The room is very dusty and a shaft of light coming from the window casts a shadow of a circle on the floor near the bedroll. The man sits up, then rolls his bed up and places it on the far side of the cell. He starts doing push-ups in the center of the cell, then slows his pace as he stares at a crack in the wall. He speeds back up again.

INT. OFFICE - DAY A trashy looking MILITARY OFFICER snorts a line of cocaine. His eyes are extremely bloodshot and look very crazed. He smiles crookedly and then gets up and walks to a safe in the corner of his office. Opens it up and admires the stacks of money and gold inside. He shuts it, and then walks out the door, and down a hallway.

EXT. COMPOUND - DAY The officer walks around some garden beds that look desolate, inspecting them. He has a concerned look on his face. He walks down a path and passes a sign attached to a chain link fence. It says something along the lines of "WARNING - use of deadly force authorized - armed guards." We see him from the other side of the fence and there is a black circle on the back of the sign. The officer walks up to a building labeled as some kind of interrogation facility. There are two guards standing watch outside and they salute the officer as he approaches.

INT. INTERROGATION FACILITY - DAY The man from before is sitting in a crappy metal folding chair with his hands tied behind his back and to the chair with rope, zip ties, and duct tape. He looks unconscious and there is a car battery attached to the metal chair. The officer walks in through the door and stops, looking the man up and down. He begins laughing hysterically.

INT. MAKESHIFT JAIL CELL - DAY - FLASHBACK The man hears boots walking down the hallway as he is doing push-ups, and a pair of guards, (the same ones that were outside the interrogation facility) yell from down the hall. GUARD 1 Wake up in there scum! GUARD 2 Its that time again! GUARDS 1 AND 2 Ha ha ha. The man quickly gets up and retrieves a small razor from where the crack in the wall was, and inserts it under the skin in his forearm, bandaging up the wound with a piece of his ripped shirt, and discards the rest of the shirt. He unrolls his bed, sits on it and looks down, waiting for the guards to come in.

INT. INTERROGATION FACILITY - DAY The man looks up groggily. MAN You just keep laughing. The man smiles. The officer stops laughing immediately. OFFICER Shut your mouth! The officer walks over to the man and punches him very hard in the mouth, then turns and walks away. The man smiles even wider and blood pours out of his mouth. MAN Youre pathetic. The officer turns around and rushes toward the man, but the man has removed the blade from under his skin and freed himself from the ropes. He jumps up and slits the officers throat and grabs his pistol and his keys, peeks out the window and judges where the two guards are standing, then aims the gun through the wall and shoots one of the guards in the head. The other guard gets splattered with blood and looks half confused and half in shock. (CONTINUED)

The man swings open the door and smashes the remaining guard against the railing, shooting him several times through the door. 8 INT. CELL BLOCK - DAY Alarms are blaring as the man rushes through the hallways and stops in front of a particular door. He carefully finds the right key, inserts it, and knocks. He puts his head against the door and speaks in a low tone. MAN Baby, its me. Come on were getting out of here. He slowly opens the door. 9 INT. 2ND MAKESHIFT JAIL CELL - DAY What he finds inside are a pair of feet swinging gently back and forth a few feet above the ground. He slowly looks up and sees the womans pregnant belly. The man looks extremely upset as tears and snot are running all over his face, which has turned very red. He reaches up and caresses the womans belly, then cuts the rope she is hanging from and lays her gently on the bedroll that is in her room. He touches her face before he (CONTINUED)

covers it with a sheet, then turns and rushes out the door. 10 EXT. FOREST - DAY The man is rushing through the forest being followed by many guards. He is covered with blood and has no shirt on, still very upset. After a while he ducks behind a tree to catch his breath, and checks how much ammo is left in his gun. The sound of the guards approaching continues to get louder. He focuses on a plain silver ring that he is wearing as he slides the clip back into the gun, and holds it up to his head. He shuts his eyes tightly and clenches his teeth as he yells and then pulls the trigger. 11 INT. MAKESHIFT JAIL CELL - DAY The man jolts awake, panting and covered with sweat. He starts to sob quietly. END
