At Venable Elementary School our class measures the temperature in the front of the school. We measured the at temperature twice a day, 9:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. The temperature is usually between 50F and 80F. Its Colder in the morning than the afternoon. In the morning there is more Shade, which causes it to be cooler. We have been taking pictures, checking, and drawing this big Southern Red Oak infront of our school. Even though its half way in to fall some of the leaves ars still green. The leaves are turning colors Orange, Red, Yellow. The leaves are smooth on the front and

fuzzy on the back. Tree leaves are turning amber, red, orange, yellow. Are tree is strong and big. It is located on the left side of our school. If our class stands in a circle than holding Our trees acorns are small and less this year because it was dry. The acorn walls are fuzzy to make sure the nut does not crack. Squirrels, Birds, Grubs and many other animals eat the nut Squirrels, birds, chipmucks live around the red oak tree.
