INTRODUCTION.
With the advancement in technology using a mobile phone as a university student has become a must. Therefore it has made many impacts to the students. In order to identify these impacts we carried out a survey and through this survey we will be identifying the impact and will be making appropriate suggestions to the negative impacts. And also this survey will help to forecast future impacts on students.

PHONE BRANDS USED BY SEVERAL DEPARTMENTS.


Nokia Phone Brand is the most used brand among all departments. LG phones are not famous among university students.

So many students use other phone brands such as micromax, Huawei, Chinese, etc.

GENDER VS. PHONE BRAND.


Both male & female students mostly use Nokia Brand. Male 24%

Female 26% The most unpopular brand among both male and female students are LG.

NETWORK CONNECTION
According to the above bar chart majority of students use the Mobitel brand connection and other connections as follows.

Majority of their relatives use that connection. (Best coverage) There service provider s provide Good customer service They give more benefits to uses.

The above diagram shows that most of the students prefer to pay in prepaid method which is paying through card or reload. The agreed percentage to prepaid method is method is 94% which is a very high percentage. It shows that most of the students choose the payment of prepaid since it is cheaper than postpaid because a rental is not charged. And also students mentioned that it is convenient for them since places to purchase and put reload can be found easily.

As per the above diagram it shows that most of students mobile expense is less than RS.500 which is not a significant amount . This might be as a result of prepaid package where most students are using . The amount is not much significant because a monthly rental is not added in the prepaid method.

SUGGESTIONS
A policy should be made to switch off their mobile phones during lecture hours.

Students must make sure to use mobile phones when ever it is necessary with out disturbing to their studies.
Students must keep a time slot to use for entertainment with out using the phone every time. When selecting a mobile phone features must be pre think and selected features must be used in an effective way. When using the mobile phone students must concern about the safety aspect also.
