Embrace Spontaneous Creativity

If you really want to be a solution giver, the type of person who can come up with great ideas, you first have to learn how to generate many ideas. The problem is most of us are brought up in a school system and society that teaches us that there always has to be a right answer. This creates a fear of being wrong, judged and criticised. So many people do not want to be vulnerable. One of the best ways to come up with fresh ideas is the good old fashioned tactic of brainstorming. Our brains naturally brainstorm anyway, we can utilise this ability further by setting ourselves time to put ideas down on paper. Most people tend to shut down ideas and hinder them from progressing, believe it or not, this is when we lose the whole point of a creative process.

Think of as many ideas as you can think of, big, small, silly, random, embrace all types of thought without any criticising, judging, analysing or organising. Focus on quantity and not quality and once youre finished you can then take all the necessary actions you were itching to do. Tweak away! A wise person once said that the best way to come up with a good idea, is to come up with many ideas. I cant speak for Thomas Edison but for a genius of his time I would say preach! if he could of course . Make the most of your time, take it easy on yourself and let your mind do what it does best- generate ideas, trust your intuition, choose carefully and act.
