Gerard Hendrik Hofstede, a Dutch writer born in 1928, contributed knowledge about how national and religious cultures can affect organizational behavior over time. Fons Trompenaars, another Dutch author in cross-cultural communications, developed a model with seven dimensions to analyze how universalism versus particularism and other factors differ across cultures. The document also discusses what success means to the author as achieving life goals and a sense of fulfillment rather than achievement without failure.
