    Instructions for installing the application

    This application is called: "Open Communication for FANUC". The program works with the operating systems " Microsoft Windows-XP" (or subsequent). Normally is sufficient to run the command "setup.exe" on the CD and follow the steps. It should be connected to the Internet during the installation because your PC may require some updating from Microsoft. The installation may take a long time until you install entirely. After installing the application, an icon on the desktop PC (Windows) will come up to start the program. It is also possible boot from: "Programs"->"FANUC_CNC_Open_Communications"->"FANUC_CNC_Open_Communications" IMPORTANT NOTE: The application uses the platform ".NET Framework 3.5" (or later) from Microsoft. "Windows Installer 3.1" (or later) from Microsoft is also required. Normally during the installation is charging that platform automatically. In the case that appears a problem during installation, the installation of the above-mentioned platform can be done manually. In that case, run the file in the CD : \dotnetfx35sp1\ dotNetFx35setup.exe and follow the instructions during installation. Possibly it will take a good time until you install entirely. Run also : \windowsinstaller3_1\WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe and follow the instructions during installation. You can also download those files from the website of Microsoft: http://msdn.microsoft.com/engb/default.aspx" and download the two files: 1) ".NET Framework 3.5" or later. 2) "Windows Installer 3.1" or later". Once installed both executables, the PC is prepared to install "Open Communication for FANUC". Run the command "setup.exe" on the CD and follow the instructions at the beginning of this document.
