Good morning everyone.

Today I am going to share my experience on staying in IPG when others going for independent day celebration. I am unselected for the event due to my delayed of my flight from Kuching. I was unable to be back to IPG and join the event on time. Therefore, I was excluded for the event. Actually my course mates and I were staying in library for the whole week. So we were doing our assignments and other tasks given by lecturers before holiday. However, we are also helping lecturers when needed. For example, we helped in arrangement of books in library. On 30 August, thats on Thursday, some RBT students were asked to help in preparing the celebrating ceremony for lecturers in IPGKPT. We were willing to help as we have experience on it. Firstly, we carried chairs and tables to lecturers rest room from other places. The rest room was the place for the celebrating. Then we arranged the chairs and tables according the suitability. We also helped in decorating the room. We were hanging some ketupat handcrafts in the room. Arranging of table clothes and cleaning of the room are parts of our jobs too. After decorating, we went to cooking lab to help in preparing the food. We had prepared cakes, pudding, satay, curry, and other delicious dishes. This was the most difficult part. It took a long time to make the food ready for the lecturers. We were guided by Puan Noor Ashikin and Puan Zaitun in the process of preparing the dishes. After that, we served the food for the director and some other lecturers. When the event started, we waited there and ready for any help. I think the ceremony was going quite well. After two or three hours, the ceremony ended. We helped to clean and tidy the room. Also, the remaining food is packed and given to lecturers and students who wanted to. After all, we finished all the works and went back for a rest. Even though my life here for about a week was not interesting and exciting, I am still gaining experience from the preparing of the ceremony. This is a chance that my course mates who joined the independent day celebrating have not experienced in the past. I am satisfied with our work and hope for next chance too.
