THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN BY ZHOU BIDA FROM SUNG DYNASTY. It was the very
first poem written about the food YuanXiao. The title of the poem
means YuanXiao Boiling During YuanXiao Festival. The meaning of
the poem is: Do you know what today is? Its a day about everything
being round. Soup officials look for the old flavor, stove maid brags
about her new achievements. Stars shine through the dark clouds,
beads float on the muddy water. Im writing this poem to inform others
about this family tradition.
