Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus: MNT

MNT is caused by tetanus spores. When umbilical cords are cut with unsanitized blade, the cord is exposed to tetanus spores. The baby is now sensitive to light and touch which can cause spasms. 160 babies die from MNT every day. $1.80 can immunize a mother and her future children. There are only 32 countries left with MNT.
