October 29, 2013 Dover Parents, Staff & Community Members, Thank you to everyone who attended a community meeting, asked questions and provided feedback related to the proposed classroom construction at Dover for 2014. Members of the RISD Board of Trustees attended each community meeting and listened to your questions and comments firsthand. The feedback RISD has received related to the proposed construction will help us shape the formal district recommendation for Trustees to consider and discuss during their Study Session on October 30. The Board will vote on the proposal during the Regular Meeting on November 4. Both meetings are open to the public and I encourage anyone interested in the proposed construction to attend. Because the October 30 meeting is a Study Session, the meeting protocol doesnt provide an opportunity for members of the public to address the Board during the meeting. The agendas for all Regular Meetings, including the November 4 meeting, do provide an opportunity for community members to address the Board during the meeting. Board meetings are held at the RISD Administration Building, 400 S. Greenville Avenue in Richardson. The October 30 Study Session will begin at 6:00pm and the November 4 Regular Meeting will begin at 7:00pm. Thank you for your involvement in this process and support of Dover Elementary School.
