April 2, 2014 Name OR CURRENT RESIDENT Address CityStateZip Re: 2014 Neighborhood Pavement Repair Project Areas 1, 2 & 3

Dear Resident: The City of Richardson is pleased to inform you that the 2014 Neighborhood Pavement Repair Project Areas 1, 2 & 3 is scheduled to begin the week of April 7, 2014. The scope of the project is to remove asphalt repairs from the concrete streets in the designated areas. The asphalt repairs will be replaced with reinforced concrete. In some locations failed concrete pavement immediately adjacent to the asphalt repairs may require removal and replacement as well. The scope of each repair location will be decided on a case by case basis in light of the citys approved approach to concrete repair. The streets included in the project Areas 1, 2 & 3 are shown on the enclosed exhibit. The City has contracted with Estrada Concrete Company, LLC to perform the work for this project. The contractor is scheduled to start at Newberry and Arapaho and work south approximately 450 feet at the location of the recent waterline replacement. This work is anticipated to take approximately two weeks. During this work, traffic will be one-way between Arapaho and Brookhurst. When this section is completed, the contractor will move to streets in Area 1, as shown on the exhibit. We expect the contactor will work approximately two months in each project area. As the project progresses, the contractor may be working on more than one street at a time. Before construction begins on your street, the contractor will distribute door hangers with additional details about the project and contact information. It may be necessary to temporarily limit driveway access or on street parking while working on your street. While the entire project is scheduled to be completed in six months, work in front of your home will only take a few weeks. The City of Richardson greatly appreciates your help and cooperation with this project. If there are any questions or concerns regarding the project, please feel free to contact the Construction Inspector, Robert Martinez at 972-744-4449, Senior Construction Inspector, Barry Clark at 972-744-4452, or Project Manager, Brad Bernhard, P.E. at 972-744-4279 or email at brad.bernhard@cor.gov. Sincerely,

Brad Bernhard, P.E. Project Engineer
