The student is to select for his/her own Design Thesis topic together with program to be submitted as a partial fulfillment in the requirements for the Bachelor of Architecture. The students will determine the scope of the project, the requirements and conditions and present a full report of analysis to the Graduation Thesis committee. On approval, the student will proceed with his/her thesis design, defining his/her own problems, under the guidance of a supervisor. At the end of the term, the student will be required to present & defend his/her Thesis before a jury panel selected by the Graduation Thesis Committee.

Final Year B. Arch. Design Thesis Evaluation Scheme. The work of the student will be evaluated on the following basis.
1.
Pre Requisites (Research work or Data Collection, Case Studies, Site Selection etc.) The depth and thoroughness that the student had gone into research work. The students ability to analyze and interpret the information and data collected. The students ability to analyze the case studies.
The students effort to analyze the situation of the his/her ability to justify the selection. In general the effort put in by the student into the research work and ability to present his/her work graphically. Promoters impression.
2.
1st Jury (Conceptualization & design development) The students ability to portray the development of his/her concept i.e. application of the studies on the climatic conditions, site conditions & the environment functional requirements and the relationship and the form research. The viability of his/her concept -orientation -approach to building -land utilization -awareness of the environment Functional Solution -space utilization (schedule of accommodation) -spatial arrangement (planning) -circulation -lighting -ventilation & weather protection

This evaluation marks given by the jurors on each student will be averaged for each and every jury. This average will be out of 80% and the assessment of the promoter on the students progress & diligence for each phase of work will be out of the remaining 20%. The total marks attained out of 200 at the two juries will then be averaged and weighted by ten.
