Objective
Teach a lesson that dispels any misconceptions that may exist about vegetarians, as well as informs students about the health and moral benefits that vegetarianism provides while giving tips about how to be healthy. II. Purpose Cultivating an interest in vegetarianism while providing the tools for the chance for students to change their lifestyle in a healthy and ethical way III. IV. V. Materials Procedures Assess the classs prior knowledge of what is or isnt vegan and vegetarian Clear up any confusions that some students may have about the assessment Present power point about healthy eating habits for vegetarians Explain the different types of vegetarianism Pause often for questions Pass out snacks Closure An open mind.
Answer the variety of questions that students may have about becoming a vegetarian and end the presentation of information by explaining how important this topic is to me. IV. Indication of Success
Ask about information that students may have learned from this presentation Ask students to regurgitate some of what was taught to them Ask about the general opinion of vegetarianism and try and sway any ardent opposition Leave the students with the assignment of trying out vegetarianism for a day to see if it is something that they enjoy.
