When water evaporates, the elements and compounds that were dissolved in the water are left behind and can join to form crystals. In this activity, you will observe and compare some crystals that form as the result of evaporation.

1. Use the tape and pen to label one pan Salt and the other pan Epsom. Pour the table salt solution into the pan labeled Salt, and pour the Epsom solution into the pan labeled Epsom. 2.
