    What Is E-WASTE?
    Electronic waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. There is a lack of consensus as to whether the term should apply to resale, reuse, and refurbishing industries, or only to a product that cannot be used for its intended purpose. Informal processing of electronic waste in developing countries may cause serious health and pollution problems, though these countries are also most likely to reuse and repair electronics

    Harmful effects of E-WASTE?


    E-waste is mostly generated in large cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.brain damage, Decreased growth, Hyperactivity, Impaired hearing, Disorders of the reproductive and nervous systems, Blood and kidney disorders, Symptoms of poisoning, Physical weakness, Strong allergic reactions, Asthmatic bronchitis, DNA damage, Neurotoxic effects in children, Endocrine and hormone disorders.

    How to recycle it properly?


    E-waste contain such precious metals as gold, silver, platinum, etc. and such base metals as copper, iron, aluminum, etc. One way e-waste is processed is by melting circuit boards, burning cable sheathing to recover copper wire and open- pit acid leaching for separating metals of value Conventional method employed is mechanical shredding and separation but the recycling efficiency is low. Alternative methods such as cryogenic decomposition have been studied for printed circuit board recycling,and some other methods are still under investigation.
